Job Coaching

A Job Coach may come from a variety of backgrounds to include teaching, rehabilitation, or business. He or she is responsible for assisting an individual with a disability in maintaining a job through on-site assistance and other workplace supports. In many cases, the job coach will spend time at the workplace to learn the job duties and industry standard and then assist the new employee to build proficiency over time. 

What are Job Coach Services?



  • Provides one on one training on a job site.
  • Provides accommodations on-site or recommending accommodations to employers.
  • Liason between employer and employee. 
  • Assists with being general support to employee as they learn their work routine and become comfortable to begin working alone. 

 



 

How Do I Qualify?
 

 

To be a Job Coach, you will have to attend a class through University of North Texas' UNTWISE program. 



This is an online program and can be completed quickly.
