"I know it might sound a little cliche, but interning at Dverse was a great experience because of the people who work there. I was really drawn to the position as an intern because I'm in an interdisciplinary program at the University of Texas and am focusing on how people with disabilities are affected by social inequality, health, and policy. It's been really exciting to learn about all the aspects of a business whose primary focus is enabling people with disabilities to find employment. While interning at the company, I realized that I was drawing on a lot of different disciplines. Of course I learned about business, but I also used information from fields like writing, policy, law, social work, marketing, and psychology. My younger sister has a disability, so it was also important to me that I intern at a company that demonstrates respect and concern for people. I have seen that and more. Our Austin office was not only committed to finding jobs for their Free Agents, but also concerned with their Free Agents' well-being and wishes. I was also impressed by the desire to improve the system of job placement. I highly recommend being an intern at Dverse Solutions if you are passionate, energized, and care about making a difference in people's lives. There is also the bonus of being around great people who share laughter as well as encouragement while striving to make the system more personable, efficient, and successful."
